Liverpool boss coy over £27million deal

Liverpool Football Club boss Rafael Benitez is giving little away regarding Fernando Torres.
The Reds are believed to be on the verge of signing the Atletico Madrid striker for a stunning £27million, yet when asked about the possible transfer, Benitez was remaining tight-lipped.

"All I can say is that Fernando Torres is one of the players we have looked at," said the Spaniard of his compatriot. "As I've already said, the spine of the team is in place and now we just need to add to that.

“Of course, you must always be excited at the start of a new season. You must also have confidence in your team and hopefully we will soon bring in the new players that we want to make the squad better."
